Since 1976

In 1976 Miguel Angel Alkorta started his activity in the food sector, evolving in the treatment of different products until 1993, when together with his brother José Ignacio, they opted for cod as the main product.

In 1999, when the business was in full swing, they constituted COMERCIAL ALKORTA ANAIAK as a limited partnership and invested in some new wide facilities as well as in the most modern equipment for the treatment of the food, being the desalted cod our sign of identity.

Due to the constant growth of the company, in January 2009 they moved to this new facilities of more than 3.700 m2, which are equipped with the latest technologies for the care, conservation and elaboration of our products, with the maximum quality and hygiene guarantee, what allows us to lead the elaboration and distribution of the desalted, salted, and frozen cod to the point of salt.
